Default Anyone know where to get affordable furniture?

In a couple of months me and my buddies will be furnishing our house in college station. Were just looking for some affordable furniture to deck the house out. Nothing real special. Just a couple future Aggies looking for a helping hand from the green screen.

there is an overstock type store called "The Dump" in DFW, but not sure if it is a chain that might have other locations in larger cities or not. Brand new furniture at really good prices

There is a place in Denton and Euless called Bungalo if you want to make a drive. The have some really good prices there. They are also like an overstock place.

You could check the Habitat Restore in Bryan, they have some stuff sometimes, not always great prices, CL might be better.

Post again as it gets closer, I may have some to get rid of.

Go to estatesales.net and check your area. There are deals to be had but you need to do your homework and show up with cash in hand. Don't be afraid to negotiate.

IKEA is a good one.

Stay away from The Dump. That place is expensive!

Second the Habitat for Humanity Restores if you can find one near you. They have some good quality furniture that may be lightly used for a good price.
Or just ride by local colleges at the end of June semester and take your pick from the curb.

Look on the College Station Craiglist right before you move in. The thing about a College town is there are always lots of people moving in and out.

My oldest daughter is a senior at A&M and that is what she does.

ikea has lots of choices for everything you could ever need since you are in Houston. otherwise, Rooms To Go and the small furniture places all over the freeways.
