Default Ground fill barrel feeder

Just finished this one on Wednesday, what do you guys think? Any additions or concerns? I think a better option than the stakes will be to make them with a central tie down point underneath in the middle to anchor like a deer stand. If I do that I will have to make the cage hang down 4" lower so the door can be on the side.
The barrel is held down with 4 3/8" bolts on each side, so I can build the bottom frame separate and anyone can use their own previous barrel setup to add to it.

great looking setup.

the pigs we have running around our lease would require 4 t-post to hold it down so they do not knock it over.

i have had pigs root around all the t-posts on the legs so deep that the dang feeders fell over.

secure your feeder with t-posts and you will be good

Looks great. Like agg said, t posts would be best. Can you weld on a "pocket" on each side or corner (better) that the user could drive a t post through?

Nice work. I have built several like that. No reason for them to be way off the ground.

I like the idea of not being up on a ladder or standing on the bed of my truck trying to fill up the feeder. Thanks for sharing.

Nice job. I would cut 4 pieces of pipe, about 1-2” in length, making rings to weld at the 4 corners to drive t-posts through.

very convenient for a feeder that's wwwaaayyyy back in the woods where a truck or 4wheeler wont go. I really like it. I hope you don't have it patented, cause I took a picture of it and I might give it a shot.

Nice job! Watch the corners though as I've seen squirrels flatten out like pancakes and then live inside cages.

Looks real nice, awesome work.

Only thing I would consider is how to secure a solar panel on there
