New Trump tweet

Spoke to Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. Jerry is a winner who knows how to get things done. Players will stand for Country!

Jerry is doing a great job of appeasing both sides, kneel for the players, stand for the fans. I guess that's how a business man takes care of his money.

Did I miss something? What's wrong with kneeling to pray?

They still broke league rules and should all be fined the maximum. I'm thinking $1 million each.

True, and that's what I'm talking about. The team took a knee to support the anti police/ anti Trump crowd and then stood for the anthem. Played both ends very well.

Can the Cowboys play a game without an opposing team? I really don't want to support another team by "watching them", get beat by Dallas.

Off course the stands will be full, people who have true convictions are the minority. If all the games were boycotted this weekend, that message would resonate like the ring of the Liberty Bell!! But, folks have to have their football. For me its been a great few days, no news, no espn, no talking radio heads. I'm ready for Saturday and are keeping our storm affected Brethren in my thoughts and prayers.

So all the teams and players who stood together for team unity were supporting the BLM movement? All 32 teams, even the ones who stayed in the locker room were showing support for the anti-cop / anti-trump protest? Even the ones who donated and publicly supported Trump?

Boy, Geezy....you're a sly one, no one can pull the wool over your eyes.

I don't really care if they kneel together before or after the game. But, they better dang sure stand up, face the flag, AND place their right hand over their heart when the anthem is playing.
Until they do all of that, I'm out.
And all their sponsors as well.

You have been watching some of them for years without holding their hand over their heart during the anthem.

Just a heads up on your list of demands....

One of the problems I have with it is, they are able to bend the knee to protest whatever their hearts desires are but you cannot bend the knee to pray or wear anything to show support for a cause such as the police.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't know about everyone else but I hope I'm alive to see all this whining cut in half. The glass will always be half full and half empty to others but enough already. One can only dream I guess.

The proper way to stand (if you are an American citizen) when the National Anthem is playing is to stand facing the flag with your hand on your heart.
How do you do it PBUCKSHOT and Smart?

I know the proper way and will ALWAYS do it that way....as well as my children if they know whats good for them. But to say you are not going to watch football until everyone puts their hand over their heart is nuts. If you haven't seen players standing without doing so for years then you haven't watched enough football.....or you just decided to care IMO

Thanks for an honest answer. Actually I have not watched a football game in my whole life, unless someone else turned it on.
But, since it has surfaced lately, I have been rather annoyed at these players kneeling during the National Anthem (not the Cowboys).
Nevertheless I will not support these players until they are unified in standing up during the
National Anthem with their hand on their heart. Pretty Simple for me.

Heck I would love to see that too brother. I think if it were up to our POTUS then that's the only way they would play but I don't see it happening. Heck even if I have to turn on the game after kick off, im watching my Boys with a cold one in hand. Pretty simple for me too

OK, as long as the Cowboys stand with their hands on their hearts while the anthem is playing, then I will let the game play on MY television.
Otherwise we can watch discovery (more entertaining anyways)

No I honestly did not know that he was married. I only keep up with the football team he owns. I don't know what kind of relationship he has with his wife either. Before i can answer your question if I would want my kids or grandkids seeing pics of me like that..... would I have millions and own the Dallas Cowboys too? If so..thats a toughy

What kind of relationship he has with his WIFE???
Sad, same questionable ethics and morals that the NFL is guilty of.
Good luck with that PB.

Its a joke. Lighten up Francis. I don't expect my ethics and morals to be judged by whether I give a damb about Jerry's personal life. If I cared about the players personal lives I probably wouldn't be watching football either like you. God forbid the guys on Deadliest Catch get busted being unfaithful, you might just have to settle for PBS

Yes sir, that is exactly what happened. They can say they were praying all they want but we all know the truth. I have always been a Cowboys fan, but I am no longer a fan of the NFL. I am sick of all this nonsense from the entire NFL, my team included.

When players are fined in the NFL, the money goes into a player fund. It's a part of the NFLPA pension fund set up through their bargaining agreement.

It's all fines that go there and I didn't realize how petty the NFL is on fines either until a few years ago. I've heard of players being fined 2500 for a "late hit" in the preseason. They just don't publicize it like most fines. Pretty petty.
