First thing you need to do and do it now is call the tax office and request a two year lay over for the property. This will allow you two year to get your wildlife program in place. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO DO NOW!
Second you will need to develop a wildlife management plan to present to the tax office. There are companies out there that will do this for you, of course, for a fee.
Third you will need to apply for the wildlife exemption.
Do this within the first year, but you must show progress on the management side before you apply. In my experience they will turn you down if you are not practicing what you are preaching.
PM me if you have any more questions. I went thru this process last year with a piece of property I own in Junction.
