Don't make fun of the not so straight rows, but got corn planted between the trees this year as well as some sunflower. 4 rows of corn, 3 different rows of plantings, each one about 1000 yards long. Not sure how much corn that will make but would be a good amount.

Cool! I love it! I have often wondered what it would take to "reclaim" a piece of property back to wooded cover?

                          Looks good.

Have you ever thought about planting some chestnut trees? They would do really well in your area. I've got some Dunstan's going right now.

I'm going to plant some chestnuts next year. I need to check on where to get a couple hundred of them.

Chestnuts are alot more expensive than other trees. I started my own form seed over the winter and will plant them in the fall. Definitely the cheapest way to go. You can buy nuts off ebay starting around Sept/Oct.

If you buy them here is a good place that has about the cheapest bare root seedlings I've seen.

How old are the trees in the most recent pics, 2 or 3 years old?

                                Thanks
