    Cow raising lease prices

Trying to get a cost for good east to pasture land lease prices/per acre. My mother in law is looking at leasing her pasture to the neighbor and was needing to get a price and I figured someone could give me a ball park.

But I want in on the slaughtering of a cow or two.

If you can find places for $10 an acre it's a pretty good deal now days especially if the place is in decent shape, good grass, fences etc. the size of the place can also come into play. I know a guy that lost a place a couple years ago when cow prices were high. 400 acres and the new guy paid $35 an acre!

What is the % of grass or solid brush or mixed cover? How many acres? Any fields to plant winter grazing or hay?

Thanks for the responses.the field is only 10 acres but has good fence ,great grass pond in the corner and a good corral. It is part of a 100 acre tract but the rest is used for hay.
