grim reaper sells a version made for high KE bows that are harder to open. Are you sure you didn't get those by accident?

Otherwise, have you confirmed they actually didnt open by inspecting the would or just the arrow after the shot?

Yup. I was big on Grim Reapers and one didnt deploy last year. Luckily it was a lethal shot but I dropped them for good. No question that the Rage Hypodermic Trypan is so so so much better.

Yes it is. I was at Cabelas the other day and picked up a set and saw that it said for High KE bows. Here is the link and description:

Also, they will close sometimes due to the inertia changing direction. See 1:20 into this video:
