Bag Limit 4 deer, no more than 2 bucks, and no more than 2 antlerless, all seasons combined.

Antlerless Deer Antlerless deer may be taken by MLD antlerless or LAMPS permits only. On tracts of land for which LAMPS permits have been issued, no LAMPS permit is required for the harvest of antlerless deer during the archery-only or muzzleloader-only open season.

Antler Restrictions Antler Restrictions do not apply on properties for which Level 2 or Level 3 MLDPs have been issued. For the seasons listed above, a legal buck is a buck deer having at least one unbranched antler, or an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. The inside spread requirement does not apply to any buck that has an unbranched antler. Not more than one buck with an inside spread of 13 inches or greater may be taken.

    Archery Only Sept. 27 - Oct. 31, 2014
Archery Only Either sex. No permit is required to hunt antlerless deer unless MLDP permits have been issued for the property.

4 deer total, 2 bucks and 2 does. Unless you are MLD 2 or 3, you must abide by the Antler Restrictions for your two bucks. Unless you have MLD or LAMPs tags, you can only shoot your two doe in archery season.

FYI- It is very easy to get MLD 1 tags which allow you to shoot does in the regular season. Typically they will give you 1 doe tag per 100 acres. They give you several techniques to choose from to take a census of animals, you submit it, they send tags.

Way too much to consider as far as how many you "should" kill. Survey data would be a great start.

Not a huge deer population in Navarro. I know of a couple ranches that could easily get a two doe and 1 buck limit and know of some that you may struggle to see deer but possibly a whopper! Closer to the river/main creek. The better. TON of hogs though.

You can shoot 2 does during archery season only. I hunt west of Corsicana for the last couple of years. No does during gun season though. So you have to kill them early which I think sucks. I would rather kill them later in the season.
