    6.5x55 gittin er done....

Just whacked another swine while watching the tonight show with the ol sweede. Shooting a hand load 160gr Sierra RN SP at 2000fps. Penetrates like a freight train and is fairly quiet suppressed. Its the first night I turned the high pressure sodium light on above the camp feeder, apparently this hog didn't care. Now to fight off the skeeters to get the back straps out.

I'm still setting in the stand, hoping that one of those hogs makes a mistake. I shooting 300 blk out with ATN Xsight

It's got a Leupold MK IV with a lighted TMR reticle which makes shot placement easy with the output of the overhead feeder light. Have taken countless of pigs with it while watching TV in my recliner.

          Thanks,

I built this rifle off of a early 70's LA Rem 700. Trued the action and bolt, .350" PTG recoil lug, Hart 1:8 Med Palma @22", Jewell trigger, AICS 2.0 LA stock. Modified the bolt handle to AI style. I had to modify the feed lips on the magazine as it was for a 338 Lapua. Leupold MK IV 4.5x14 in Badger rings and 20 moa base. I painted the entire rig to match our spring season using a digital pattern with Duracoat. It's called the "green monster"

                      Congrat!

It's nice to see someone else who likes the Swede. I used one as a kid and always loved the caliber. I'm looking into getting another one.

We were talking about bipods in another thread. Obviously you have experience. Assuming that's a Harris, can you say why you like it?

Love the paint. That thing flat out disappears in the grass.
