It was a response to help meet the NAAQs standards in non compliance areas. It isn't going away unless replaced with equivalent control.

Trump alone does not have the power to overturn those regulations, and neither the repukibans nor the democraps will do anything to over turn those regulations.

I don't think you'll see anything change on automobiles. I do think Trump will pass legislation to do away with emissions on agricultural machinery. Or at least I hope this is the case
