This city is going to ****. Asinine politics, aided by a seemingly never ending influx of out of state liberal idiocy, is destroying the whole San Antonio region. Including Boerne, New Braunfels, etc

Unfortunately most major cities in TX are liberal. Just have to hope rural America gets out and votes because any conservatives in a major TX city is the minority.

Very disappointing.. These people won’t stop, We’re winning the battle but I’m afraid we’re losing the war.

Why????? (As in why are they removing it? Not why should someone go see it.)

This is why they want open border. What's next, a statue horning Santa Anna and his troops?

What's the premise for removing it? How is the Alamo offensive to a Texan or an American?

I thought they already had a spot for it in front of the Menger if it was moved? Did something change?

our only hope lies with that all of the bids to remove it comes in at 10 million or so. then the city must re-think this further.

I believe they are moving it not removing it due to renovations in the area. Still upsets lots of people I guess.

This is correct. It is getting relocated, not removed.

Bastages - I stayed at the Menger last weekend and walked over to see the statue. I can’t believe SA would let this happen. Texas sure wouldn’t!

It won't be long until they tear down the Alamo to open an oxygen bar, Starbucks, and a safe space

Maybe we should arm ourselves and defend it. Removing that monument is ridiculous.
Edit: glad they are relocating it and instead of removing it. I guess the call to arms can be canceled lol.

Wow that is crazy
I think the people of Texas should have a say in that not just a political call that I’m purely guessing is opposed by the majority but just shrugged off
