Man that unforgiven does something to me. I’ll be jamming out to that driving down the road look down at my speedo and I’d be speeding. It gets my blood pumping.

Kinda partial to Fade to Black. Not so much the lyrics but the acoustic through the first half of the song.

I've never really considered myself to be a Metallica fan (even though all I listen to is metal), but "Creeping Death" is the first one I thought of.

Saw em in 88. Too much stuff I wouldn't want to hear that they've made since then to sit thru a concert.

Nothing after the 3rd record qualifies. The best Metallica song has to include Cliff Burton.

Master of Puppets is the popular choice......but I prefer Battery.

Much like with Slayer the popular choice is Reigning Blood but I prefer Angel of Death.

I really like Orion. Not sure if itís my favorite, but itís on the list. Master of Puppets and Battery are pretty strong too. So is Harvester of Sorrow.

Another vote for One. Enter Sandman is a close second. I don't think they have a song I don't like.

That is pop metal they made to play on top 40 stations (and make money). Think Luke Bryan for metal heads. Go back and sample some of the older stuff.

Slayer's record label came to Jeff Hanneman and said if they made a record like Metallica's they would be huge as well.

He said **** that ****. We are gonna make a Slayer record and if they don't like it **** em.

Some will disagree but Metallica was just a "good" heavy metal band until Load. With load they finally put their headbanging together with great rifs and songwriting. Completed them.

Most experts would agree "King Nothing" combines all their talents together and is their best song.
