Chris Fortner of Fortner Taxidermy in Loganville Georgia is the best I have seen by far. I’ll try and find some of his pictures. I went up there in April and trained for four days and he is bad to the bone

Yea, Tim does great work, as does Rocky Stanley. I didn't list them because they both limit what they take in and in some cases only take work from their pre-existing customer base.

And I think Chance love does great work, but last I heard he had moved to real estate and slowed down on the taxidermy.

I'm soooo not a fan of all the folds of skin and muscle tone. Some go way over board.

The third buck there looks great other than the folds of skin on the neck. Never seen a live deer wrinkle like that.

Dan Verrip and Allen Palermo do outstanding work. Dan has designed forms for McKenzie and some of his mounts have been featured in their taxidermy catalog.

This is a Verrip mount (not my deer).

Yes sir he does. Grew up using him and make the 4 hour trip one way to continue using him. There is no taxidermy shop in the state that has as good of customer service as Allen's shop does. Class act as a person as well as a business owner/operator.

Some in-progress work bench pics of a couple of the bucks he did for me

Couple of them finished. A decent photographer I am not so I apologize in advance!
