    School me on Arrow Saws

I've been delaying doing this but the time has come. I'm constantly last minute rushing to get arrows cut and have to settle with the box stores and end up with awful work, or have to wait on the local shops because they are busy. What is my best option for an arrow saw? What do all the DIY guys on the site use?

I considered building an arrow saw - it is the cheaper way to go and it is said they work just fine. There are a lot of DIY instructionals online. However I ended up buying one - the Weston "Standard" Model which sells for about $140. The difference between the Standard and the higher priced model is 5,000 rpms vs. 8,000 rpms and a vacuum attachment. At the most I cut 4-5 dozen arrows per year between me and my buddies and this unit works just great for that. I'm not sure if it would be enough for everyday use at a bow shop but for my purposes it is perfect.

You need the g5 arrow squaring device if you buy any arrow saw (so I hear), good luck

I have this one made by Apple Archery. It has very little use. It is 5000 rpm and doesnt have the vacuum shroud. I will make you a deal on it if you want it.
Find high quality archery, bowfishing, and crossbow equipment at Jeff’s Specialty Sports. Great deals, excellent customer service and free shipping options

Just bought one off Amazon, they're on sale for cheaper than the 5000 right now

Yup. I'm waiting to sell a project horse before I get one. Buying a house has cash on lockdown

arrow squaring device is used to square the ferrule after it is glued in not the cut on the arrow.

From what I understand, they use it on all the cuts and the inserts too

Just made my own jig for a dremel I already own. Just wear a face mask/glasses and work outside with a breeze at my back. There are several if you search arrow saw in the DIY forum.

Arrow square device can be used to make sure the shaft is square on both ends and making sure the insert is square. $30 wisely spent IMHO I square both ends of the arrows on mine.

I use the dremel too and it works great. Not hard to get the ends cut square either. I use a diamond dust blade and it cuts it neat and clean.
