I was up in Kansas a couple of weeks ago for a little R&R. And a retirement luncheon for a good friend. We took a day for an "AG" tour of the countryside and he showed me a 160 acre game hunting preserve that was not my idea of how hunting should take place. 1/2 mile x 1/2 mile pretty barren pasture with a timbered draw through the middle. It had Elk, Bison, and some Fallow bucks that hadn't shed yet. I guess this hunting operation hasn't done well considering that it really isn't hunting. It did provide a few photo ops.
Took 2 beers each for this stop.
Headed towards the protein feeder:
I got this shot
If we had a feed bucket this animal would have come right up to the fence!
His buddy had shed.
