    Texture Bride's Maids/Runners Up/Miss Congenialities/Rejects

So what else did you have this time?

I posted Zach's entry first and then remembered that I didn't take that picture! So I had to run out in the yard and take some skull and antler pics. I thought about posting the rabbit for soft, furrry, cute texture, but it didn't say "texture" to me.

Too bad this one was taken last winter. It would have fit.

The first thing that came to my mind when I thought of "texture" was food, so I really tried hard to come up with something that fit that mold. Unfortunately, I couldn't come up with a shot that I thought worked really well for the contest.

Here are a couple of others that I attempted.

BTW, I loved Zach's entry, Shane!

You must have been hungry when you were thinking about the contest, Michael.

I love your recipe for marshmallows. That's the way I like 'em too.

Zach's got a pretty good eye. He's gonna be a much better photographer than his dad before long.

It was a tough call. A few things caught my eye in each picture.

Those are some beautiful pups, Samantha! I loved the one you submitted for the contest. Reminded me of my old chocolate lab, Tito, when I was in college.

Shane, one more dutch oven treat that had great texture inside (blueberries, cream cheese, sugar, crescent rolls), but I didn't get a chance to shoot a photo before the youth at our church devoured it!

You're killing me, Michael. (stomach growling)

For me...texture is a point of scale. We are small in comparison to the big picture and texture is literally everywhere
