Lavaca county quest weekend 2 - Moseley men

Cory, Blake and me start our second hunt of the weekend. Made it to the blind around 5:00 yesterday and had a wonderful evening of "watching" and picture taking as I didn't feel like tracking or cleaning a deer, as dad had t bones and mom had a dewberry cobbler cooking

We saw seven huge gobblers, over twenty hens and jakes in addition to around ten does and yearlings. I did try to get a shot off on a coon, but he scampered away, before I could nock an arrow.

We are headed out now to see what our new day brings.

Gary do you have to cross the sandys to make it to your place? Heard they go alot of rain in the area yesterday. I was packed ready to go from Dallas to Speaks yesterday.

        Dave,

We are hunting my new rocky creek property between shiner and hallettsville of cr531.

Just smoked a doe with boys in blind. She ran away with blood gushing out. Died in sight. Bucks pushing does hard this am.

Had a shooter 8 running them hard. I passed on him for the doe.

Blake videoed the hunt and did a admirable job, up until the shot, where he moved upon my releasing the arrow as we are cramped up in the db like sardines.

Sounds like you still have dewberry cobbler on your mind from the night before

Here we go. Congrats on the doe. After last week I wasn't sure if I was going to have to rob your earlier saying "some things never change". But you redeemed yourself this week.

Maybe it caught it from you.

Careful Gary, Kelly may have The Kissing Disease.

Congrats on the doe. Your boys look like they are having a blast!
