Wide angle Lens for Nikon D3100 recommendation

I have a Nikon D3100 and I am looking for recommendations for a wide angle lens. I have never used one, but would like to see what kind of photos I can take.

Your best bet IMHO. If shopping used, keep in mind you need a lens with an internal focus motor.

The one TexasBob posted is the one I have.

Mine gets a little dark in the corners at 11. I wish I had tested better because I don't think all of them are that way.

That's why I usually just shoot it at 12mm.
