Sea Turtle and your Grandfather had excellent taste in boots. I have a black pair with the round toe, that French toe looks really sharp. I would not get rid of them, how much too big are they? Could you put a good insole in them and make them fit?

IIRC, the sea turtle was placed on the endangered species list in the 90's and boots could no longer be made/imported. Things may have changed since then as I'm not sure. Definitely hang onto those and have them resized for your feet.

Has anybody mentioned they appear to be sea turtle?? Have them resized for sure if possible... Don't leave the country until you research if sea turtle boots can be imported now. It used to be you would be left in socks if you were wearing them entering the country as mentioned above.

I wear 11.5, and I'd buy them from you if you decide to sell (for more than $20). If I were you, I'd have them redone to fit and keep them though.

Those are really nice boots and cost plenty when he got them. As has been said, have them redone to fit you and wear them proudly.
