i made this bow vise out of a few parts from a swivel monitor stand. i took the parts and built the product in the pics. i can swivel the thing 360 degrees and clear the workbench/counter/tailgate unless in need the bow perfectly vertical or horizontal in which i have to have it parallel to the surface so it will hang off the edge. with the clamp type mount i can mount it to anything under 3.5" thick. and with the socket and T - handle wrench handy i can tighten it down to hold the bow at any angle. used some 9/16 bar stock and all-thread that was laying around.

I like it. Even something simple like a rubber coated bow holder meant for a tree stand works and it beats working on your bow laid down on something.Comment

the bow holder for a stand is exactly what i showed the guy that weld the fork for me. i just asked him to make it a bit bigger/longer for room to playComment
