Looks like someone didn't put a very good shot on a doe near me. She appears to be eating but I can't see how she can make it with a hole in her gut. Goes to show you how tuff these animals are.

But them backstraps are prolly ate up with a nice oozing infection... I shot one like this several years ago, he had been bow shot from backstrap down and across front shoulder. he was fine, but I lost a lot of good meat due to that nasty gash. I don't know if the infection would've eventually taken it's toll or not, but he sure stank.
