my first knife and sheath build

I have been wanting a handmade knife for a while, so I decided to try and build my own. I got a file blank from a member on another forum, It was already shaped and tempered correctly so I proceeded to finish the blank with my touches. I vine filed the back (which was a lot of fun trying to file the heat treated blank with needle files) then went to my antler pile and found an antler I thought would work out right. Cut it, shaped it, drilled it etc until I liked it. Then I spent a full afternoon sanding the file blank to get the shine I liked (1000 and 2000 wet dry paper). Then epoxied it all and pinned with 1/8 inch brass pins. Then finished the final shaping and polishing and sharpening. Then I went to my junk pile of scrap leather and started making a sheath. The inlay is from an eastern diamondback I got 2 years ago and I finished it for my 55th birthday on 6/11. This is my new hunting and fishing buddy. I hope ya'll like it. Mike
