That's a rule that would make sense to me also. Before my son was grown I took him on many drawn hunts through TP&W and NONE of them enforced antler restrictions on the kids even on properties that had them.

We had that discussion at the lease this weekend. I bet there are plenty that get shot and left in the woods. I'm not saying it could never happen but what I am hunting for is one that you don't have to question it when he comes out.

As far as mistaking a spike for a doe there is just really no excuse for that.

For real. If your shooting mature 8,9,10+ your not debating over a kicker

            1.5 yr old=cutlets....6.5 yr old=sausage and hamburger

I'm sure there are a few less than 13" that are not reported.

Since we are making rule change suggestions, change it back to spike only or 13". No reason for some counties to allow 2 bucks to be killed. Also, the deer with 5 on one side but slick on the other is not a cull but most likely due to injury, so change it to spike only. Tell you what, just take spike of the kill list also.

not many and it doesn't have a measurable impact on low fenced populations anyway. there will be a rare exception of a buck that never makes it. again exception.

Every year I know of almost equal amounts of bucks that didn’t meet ar that are killed. The numbers are stupid high and I know nobody that has been ticketed for it

I bet it happens every single weekend in every single AR county.

I make all three....would rather have the extra bulk for bacon burger and sausage.....the bigger larger backstraps work just fine for cutlets and more of them too. Plus there are doe for that as well.
