How do you like the 10x at distance? Planning on using a gen 1 viper pst 2.5-10x32 ffp sitting on the shelf.

Most of this year it will be my 6.5 PRC...But...I may test out my 30 Nosler on a big hog if one shows on camera, I'll likely do some spot and stalk hoggin with my 45-70, then my 22-250AI is going with me most days in case I get serious about some calling.

I'm going on a doe killin in Lampasas in December and will carry the 250 as it's all close head shots and some good varmiting. This allows lighter travel with only one rifle.

It is plenty for my hunting distances. My furthest shot is 200 yards. Have had lots of times when deer have walked 20-30 yards in front of me so the 2.5x is a must.

Not many shotgun slug hunters down here in TX, huh? (Moves from NJ 3 yrs ago).

Taking the Savage 220 20ga with the Tikka T3 .308 as a backup

Depends on the stand but generally one of these two.

I have more choices in rifles that a guy should have. Decided to go old school this year so I am going to try to get a doe or 2 with my .45 flinter.
FFF black powder, patched round ball and iron sights
