Taught my 7 yr old about socialism!

Long story how a 2nd grader and I discussed economics/socialism.

But I gave him a scenario where I made $10/ day (relative kid numbers) and another man made. $1/day. At the end of the day we are required to combine our wages for a total of $11, which we split evenly and each got $5.50. I asked him if he thought that was fair, he said yes, now the $1 guy had enough money. I said that's good, you have compassion towards others.

Then I asked how it was fair that man get half of the money I worked hard for. He didn't answer but you could tell he was processing it.

So we made the example about him. He raked leaves yesterday and I paid him $10, while his buddy AJ swept the drive way for a few minutes and spent the rest of the day kicking rocks, eating Popsicles and sitting in the shade.

    So I asked my son,
Me: did AJ work as long as you did?
    Son: no!
Me: Did AJ work as hard as you did?
    Son: No!
Me: do you still want me to make you share your $10 with AJ?
Son: No, if AJ wants more money he should have worked longer and done a better job!

If a 7 yr old can grasp this concept, why can't well educated adults ?

Amazing so many cant grasp it or maybe they are the $1/welfare folks voting for the free stuff.

Because there are way to many AJ's and they're allowed to vote. Until this country stands against that, most likely without the help of the government, the "AJ's" will continue to thrive.

It's simple... You have a smart child due to good parenting.

Good lesson for Junior. Great job Dad.
As I have said before. Those that work for a living compete against those who VOTE for their living.

If a kid can understand the concept, why can't some adults?

Its not that they don't grasp it, they actually do and that is the scary part. They are trying to ruin our once great country and turn it in to something that fits their plan.

Because the majority of voters would rather sit in the shade with AJ eating popsicles.

Unfortunately, the "father" figure is regarded as the government who will "teach" the people what to do.

Everyone wants their fair share of the money, but don't want their fair share of the risk.

Thats awesome. Hopefully, that is a lesson that will stick with him for a long time.

It makes no sense for people on the govt dole to be allowed to vote. Welfare should not be a career choice.

No one kid themselves this has nothing to do with voting it has to do with the government system itself wanting to enslave the working man by leveling income(downward). If you look at the numbers only 58% of the population has votes in the last election, and based on age and income they were the working class families!!!
