using some banjo valves on a custom build I am doing.. other than the body length what is the difference in these two? Is it just for clearance when open/closing the valve? Any obvious advantage in one or the other? Id just as soon purchase the cheaper one but??

Smaller opening = Less flow.

It appears to be 2-piece body and the other a 3-piece body. 3piece bodies can be serviced without having to cut the line, as the valve body is held together by bolts keeping the three pieces together (flange, valve body and seat, flange). You might also look at the maximum working pressure, as that can have an impact on cost. Finally, check to make sure the balls, gaskets and valve seats are all comparable materials. This is where valve manufacturers can save money....cheaper internals.
