    Wife wanted a supper table

The story behind this diy project is that I slipped up and told my wife “you don’t need to buy a table from this craft show, I’ll just make one”. Well, after a few months of me saying “I’ll make time for it soon”, she up and sold our existing table so it would force me to build one haha. A buddy helped some, my son and wife helped with distressing it (which he LOVED).

What did you use to make the parallel little marks in a line when you distressed it? I beat mine with chain and walked around on them on gravel for lots of dents and such....hammered a few bolts to put a thread pattern in a few places. Yours looks real good b

Awesome job! I like the distressed look!

It looks like he let a grinding wheel bounce around on it from the looks of the marks and beat it with a chain binder.

I never realized that you literally distress the wood yourself...beat it with a chain and walked on the wood in gravel...sounds like a torture chamber!

                              Nice table.
For future projects, you might want to get a bigger saw.
