Default August Updated Tropical Weather Forecast

Enjoy the lull for another week or two because it looks like the Atlantic is fixing to spin.

Geez. They're predicting another 10+ storms in 2-3 months? I don't see it.

So this indicates greater activity around the early part of September for us?

Thanks Johnny!

Dove season seems to be the trigger.

Man, it is dry in Llano. I'll take any bit of rain we can get. . . even if it cuts my dove numbers down.

Good to hear at least a week or two out as we need to dry up...amazing how much rain fell with a baby hurricane. If we were to get anything soon the flooding would be horrendous.

The waters are warm, Sahara dust and a lot of other unknowns. Hopefully we dodge the big storms.

40-60% isnít slim, but Iím guessing that is more of an East coast storm.

Was showing 0% yesterday. Sounds like it blew up. Idk a ton about tropical weather. I just want rain in the hill country. Not at the expense of a round house to the coast.

The Pacific basin is really getting crowded with new invests as well, but we won't have to worry about those storms. We'll definitely have to keep an eye on the new ones coming off Africa though. With the high pressure trough building into Texas and the Southeast United States, they may skirt along the southern edge of said trough and make it into the Carribean and GOM.

Long ways out, but right now it looks like steering winds will bring the front storm of the 2 into the gulf before turning north into Louisiana.

We got 97L and 98L to watch. 97L looks like it will try to sneak into the gulf and 98L is a possibility as well soon after.
