My Wild Kitchen - New Post - An Ode to Summer

Since we're all (mostly?) Texans here, there's still plenty of time to get in a few of these summer meals before Ol' Man Winter arrives. The only problem you might face is having enough meat in the freezer. We're completely out of backstraps and ground venison, but we've got a few packages of tenders and venison roasts left. What's your favorite summery wild game meal? And who still has some venison in the freezer?

I'm not much into seasonal food. I cook what I'm hungry for year round. I'll make a pot of chili when it's over a 100degs outside. I've made chef salads with snow on the ground. Cranked up the grill while it was snowing. If I'm hungry for something, I eat it. Doesn't matter what the weather is doing.

And by the way, your dishes are adding pounds to me that I don't need.
    They're great!
