Here’s the story.
2 years ago I was hunting on foot walking thru a thicket and I shot a buck at 25yrds. The entry and exit holes were both about .25”. Plenty of damage inside. The blood trail was non existent. Found the deer on pure luck. I’m shooting Hornady 130gr Interbond.
I got scared and ended up buying a 12ga slug gun and shot another buck last year at 20yrds again. Wow! What a difference. Only issue with the slug gun is the weight and the fact that it kicks like a mule.
Is there a round that y’all could recommend that I could shoot out of my .270 that would accomplish a pass through with a sizable exit wound at close range? I’m looking to shoot ranges from 20-100yrds.
