Default made choice on new blind

After a few weeks of looking talking with companys .. I made my choice

the new redneck 6X7 will go 5 feet to keep it easy and that is more than tall enough for my location .

After going and looking at too many of these HA HA .. Inspecting the blnd options this was the best I could find.

More than I wanted to spend but its without a one and done deal .. Will be setting up in a week if all goes well

Cost wise I think it’s personal. I do not want to drive 2 hours and build a platform get a tractor to lift it etc. this set up I can bolt the platform to the bind here then build the legs and when I get there slip it together stand it up and good to go

A four round trip puts a crunch on time. Working on getting the toy hauler out there but that will be mid July due to other trips. They really amazing. I was blown away at how nice it is sealed up windows are top notch items

Iíve done the build it, transport it and lift it. I much prefer to have a quality blind delivered and setup.

Well No delivery or set up I plan on doing that myself

But I am going to cheat a little as I can do about 90% of the work here at my shop then take the blind out with platform bolted on . Legs bolted together on trailer and really only have to lay the blind over slide legs in and then stand it up .

I will get photos up once its on the lease .. Today is going to be some serious work with some semi heavy equipment to clear out some areas and repair a few areas of the road .. Sugar sand so washed out in some areas making it tough to get in with a truck

Wait....wait. You are paying that much for a blind and having to set it up yourself?

How close are you to Brady?

Did you look at the Texas Wildlife supply blinds?

Not quite as big, but they run us about 3 grand on a tower installed.

I use Krivoman blinds but these $3,400 blinds are way more than 2x better than Krivo's IMO..

I built my own Krivoman platforms so the set ups were cheaper though.

New bind will be here tomorrow .

The set up thing is super simple , and I could not find a dealer near Cisco . So 4 hours round trip plus set up time . Who really wants to do that for free ?? nothing is free its padded in the bill / sale some where .. I looked at both 6X7 and 6X6 and opted for the slightly smaller one .. The 6X7 is just way too large for what I need .

As well the one area that you have to go through the gate trailer can be 12 foot max and most use a much longer trailer so they will not be able to get back to it .. I will set it on my utility trailer rails once we get there and drive on back..

I got the curtain kit bow holder and gun rest all included .

OTD 3G so cost wise very competitive to others , and from the 8 or so I looked at none had this nice of an interior or warranty , and quality of construction.

$2545+ 275 tax = $2754.49 if you want to compare them on a level playing field as you can . windows and vent ladder etc so $ 246 difference from the 3000 Total I paid . not seeing the big savings there .

Options list is no comparison

lifetime warranty on stand and blind , nicer windows , shooting bench , bow holder and gun holder insulation and acoustic material , foam padding for floor plus carpet automotive tempered glass with black out bottoms , longer bow windows gear console . window blinds , shooting bag , go pro type camera mount all in that price point I paid delivered .

The redneck blinds are nice. Comfortable and quiet. For a person who bowhunts only the blind isn't quite as well set up as I would like. I've hunted out of them at Big Oak. Too much glass for rifle and not enough for my bow. Straight at the feeder with little lateral options.

The perfect set is is hard for sure. I hunt more with bow than gun however my GF kid will be hunting pigs this year as well my GF wants to learn archery the big country bow blind has great windows up front but I was not overly impressed with its construction lack of “extras” cost wise it was 2400 ish.

I will post a pc of the location of mine after Sunday I have a large amount of shade and on a 5 footbstand and the bottom glass Blackec our I hope it’s as good as I can get

Well got it in the spot upright had to fill in some large holes in the road. And ran out of time a bit more to do. But almost done. It was easy to put together but I forgot my shovel. So I will have to level next trip out

I wish i had not cleared it out as much but a brush hog on a skid steer is not a super accurate cutting tool in the vines.. I was sucking them up and ripped down more than I wanted But when I say vine,.. I mean thorns .. so they had to go nasty things

The over hang is great much cooler under that tree

Are you going to bow hunt it? The bow windows don't seem to be facing the feeder.

Yes and I have a great angle on both sides feeder is off to right slightly if your in the blind I can shoot out the front as well sitting down . Never had a True bow window in any of my blinds in the past . killed ELK Mule deer . pronghorn out of a silly pop up with crappy window slots . Much of its based on them coming and going as well .. The feeder is more out in front of the quad if that makes sense its a down ward slope there as well

maybe some one will make a bolt in section that can be a bow window then you swap it out for gun HA HA never know what they will build next
