Hilltop Icehouse on 190 West has a great burger if they are still open. It’s a litlle ways from Onalaska but I used to really enjoy it. Just look for the bar on the south side of 190.

Plus one for Farmhouse. Great home cooking(i'm fond of the meatloaf, m'self), and a decent view of the lake. Big deck to sit on too, if it's nice out(50/50 chance on Oct. 2nd).

Jerry's used to be our go too, but like others have said, the service has gone soooo far down hill. 20 years ago it was the bees knees.

Yep. I've been eating there for years. I used to never miss the opportunity to stop and eat some breakfast there. Now, you get served by some middle-aged dirty-leg with Marlboro breath, festered sores on her arms and a fading black eye....with the crappy attitude to match. I don't think it's too much to ask for some coffee without feeling like you're too much trouble to someone whose other biggest trouble is their probation officer trying to trade some leg for time served. Welcome to Polk County.

It’s still open! I’ve often wondered if the food was any good there. I’ve always seen it full of bikers, so the beer must be cold.

Lol, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw "Onalaska". I just read about that story on Fox News. That dude needs to lose his job. I don't care how he spins it, it was flat out racist. I'm sure he was riding some Budweiser induced emotions watching the game and went to social media to vent. Just inexcusable for anyone, especially someone in a position such as his.
