Get a new knife with better steel....

Ok, i'm off my steel snob soapbox. I got a Spyderco Sharpmaker and have yet to find a knife steel it couldn't get exceptionally sharp

I bought a worksharp and never looked back. Thing is awesome, razor blade sharp in a couple minutes. You can get them at cabelas or basspro

                THIS!!

Work sharp is a great option, but beware, you cannot sharpen effectively on a normal stone after a make over on the work sharp because the belts convex the knife bevel

Anytime. I also like the Worksharp. I'd disagree with the comment above and suggest it could create the slightest of a concave edge actually but nothing pre wanting you to sharpen with a stone again following. I've done this numerous times. Good luck!
