No sh*t, I haven't drawn an archery hunt since 2010

we got east blocker, see some good trails in here.
Got a hog, but he was real hurt someone had shot off his jaw.
We told the park rangers about him since we did not really want to touch him since he looked infected.

Uncle shot him first then I laid him low with the 2nd shot, but I'm pretty sure that hog was looking to be put down.

Saw 1 guy check in a doe today when we were heading back to camp.

I was there about this time a few years ago. Saw a few from the stand, but spent most of my time and effort rattling. Best morning I rattled in 6 nice bucks, ended up shooting a real nice 12. Be tough with a bow, but doable. I shot mine at 20 yards and was wishing I had a bow!

I remember that buck. very cool deer. it was crazy how many bucks were moving while we were there for that hunt. it seems like the hunts they've had since haven't been nearly as good.

Yes sir, we’ll do it again in a few years or twenty! Another pointer, if you kill your deer early be kind and let someone else have your pasture if they aren’t seeing anything. Gave up mine with a couple days left to a group that wasn’t seeing anything. As I was loading my stuff up to head home one of the guys gave me an invite to hunt axis. I’ve been going to his place ever since and we’ve become great friends. Killed some dang nice axis too. Karma can be awesome if you’re on the right end of it
