I just got home with 10 pounds of cooked crawfish, 5 pounds of shrimp and 4 halves of king crab. Got a case of cold beer to wash it down with.
Gonna be a good night!! Someone getting lucky tonight.

I decided to save the Possum for our anniversary next week and opted for Sous-Vide Venison Wellington, instead.

Served with roasted rosemary potatoes, asparagus wrapped in crispy bacon, sweet corn on the cob and a glass (or two) of merlot.

Opted for shrimp n cheese grits.

No special dessert tonight. Maybe next week.

Beef tenderloin, grilled organic carrots and a salad. Fairly basic but delicious.

Grilled sausage, zucchini, yellow squash, and asparagus were on the menu. See if the wife caught the subliminal message...

                    Bison ribeye for me
Large fillet for wife and son
                    Two lobster tails
                    Baked taters
                    Asparagus

Best part of the night was finishing dinner and loading up my truck for my axis hunt this
                    Weekend.

And the steak n lobster was awesome!

Wow, very nice. My swordfish and tuna steaks came in a distant second to that Wellington, on appearances alone.

Pepper jack/jalapeño stuffed chicken breast wrapped in jalapeño bacon for the lady and I. Finished off with some broccoli and a baked tater. I wanted axis steaks, but you all know the rule...she wins.
