    Homemade steel load-bearing UTV tops

Looking at building a steel top for my Kawasaki Mule that I can stand on to fill feeders. IF you have made one for any UTV, please post a pic to get my wheels turning.... Thanks!

I made one a few years back out of aluminum tread plate.
Lighter than steel but strong as heck.

Let me see if I can find any pics

      Best pic I could find..

Sheared a piece of tread plate, a few bends and couple welds.
Coated it with Rhino, stereo, 2 LED up front and 1 in the back

Sean had a thread of one or 2 he built for Rangers. Exactly what you are describing.

That is nice! I want to do the same for a Jeep Wrangler. Cover for driver and passenger and keep back seat open.

                Here ya go.

Stitch weld it unless you have a bender.

Weld on some brackets for Lights.

Can you tell (and show) us how you attached it to roll cage?

Looking for some pics of it..

I used three 3 inch channel front to back where it would sit on top of the roll bar.. Welded to top.
This also gives you a place to hide wires for lights and stereo.
Put a couple flat pieces of rubber between it and bar..
Used a ubolt to attach to mule..4 actually. no holes in Mule bar..

Believe my roof is 3/16. It's attached to the roll cage with bolts similar to this. 2000 miles on my rig and I've never had to tighten them or had an issue

I used a piece of 3/4" plywood. 3 coats of bedliner and chain link fence brackets!!! Holds my 200# load and cost about $25.
