    Traditional FSC Challenge Week 51

With Christmas drawing near, we'll do a star-themed challenge.

Draw a star on an 8-1/2"x11" blank sheet of paper (5-pointed or 6-pointed, your choice). Size it so that it fills about two-thirds of the paper, leaving an inch or two border. Label any three of the star points as "1", "2", and "3". These will be your aim points. Feel free to color the star for extra credit.

Challenge is to shoot each of the star points in the order you numbered from a sitting or kneeling (one or two knees)position, taking one shot from 12 yards on each of three days. Only one arrow per point. Measure each shot. With short days now, feel free to shoot with artificial illumination. Lowest total distance from respective star points to nearest part of arrow shaft wins the call for next week. Good luck and have fun!

(For those on Rick's Traditional Archery Friends site, use the same shots for that challenge.)

Star doesn't have to be purdy. Here's mine. May decorate later.

Just for clarification.....we aim for the point of the star and not the circled number correct?

Yes, point of the star -- (pick the points you want to number, then shoot them in order: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3.)

So you shot to the right left handed and to the left right handed. About the same amount too.

Those are not bad -- and particularly cool that you can even do that!

If you really want to have fun, get a thumb ring and put arrow on the right-side shelf and shoot with right hand. (Can You tube how-to.)

Kinds funny how it worked that way Gary.

Ill check out thumb rings and the video Ellis...Ive been wondering about those. Seems like they were old school and real popular recently but have fallen out of favor.

                        Good shot Reb!

Day2. My lefty elevation was off this morning...way high...way off. Pic1 LH. Pic 2 RH

                        Have a great day Yall.

I don't know how you do it Briar. Being that ambidextrous is pretty darn cool!
At summer camp I shot a little left handed and did okay but it felt so awkward.

Thank you Sir, not as good as I would like at 12y.
