TBH Sam Rayburn Crappie weekend!

After another look at the map, I'm not so very far away.
Should be there early Friday.

Which brings up a question on bag limit.
If I am reading it right, you can only have 2 days limit.

I normally fish my local lake and go home every night so I have never gave it much thought.
What is a fellow to do if he goes fishing for a week or in my case on this trip and plans to fish 3 days?

We are having a fish fry Saturday

I've never had to worry about that dove hunting but the fishing you can have 2 limits in possession for each of you on the boat. So if there's 4 of you on the boat and you have 200 keepers on ice by Sat evening throw some in the fryer at the fish fry that evening. I'm not bringing any fish down there. Plan on catching em or drinking alot of beer and I'm good with either really.

I have heard of them counting dove breasts

I know the GW will look in your cooler on the boat, to see if they is fillets in there. That happened to me on Calaveras Lake.

They counted dove breasts on us, out by Liberty Hill one time.

I guess if a fellow wants to take a week of vacation and fish, he has to eat a lot of fish that week

That has actually changed since last fall. Dove, duck, goose, crane is now 3x the daily bag limit in possession. Definitely helps on a long weekend
