He don’t look it but this deer had a huge body. I was disappointed to see infection spewing from his shoulder when we walked up on him. She shot him in the neck with her .223 single shot. He hit the ground like a sack of taters.
After I removed all the other meat (except that shoulder of course)which I’m sure is good. He didn’t even act hurt. I went looking for a projectile. There wasn’t one. Then I remembered something kinda cool. In the middle of November I killed a big 9 point with my longbow. When he came out with a doe he instantly broadsided this buck. Knocked him down to run him off. Kinda funny cause this stand my little girl got him at is a long ways from there.
