Looks to me like it could be a trade blank , but I am in NO WAY even half educated on these . I`m sure Gar Guy or Johnny or one of those in the know can and will answer you . I know there are lots of guys who know this kind of stuff , sorry to have left them out , those were just the two names that came to me right now .
Hard to say from pictures but it looks pretty fresh. Probably a tool of some type or something they gave up on due to what appears to be a pretty big stack in the middle which was attacked from several angles.
We are in the same area. We have found just about everything in the camp we are digging but none that look like that. Most likely a blade that was being worked down but not finished.
Did you find it on the ranchlands area. If so pm me.
Didn’t find it myself,
my boss’s best friend owns property out there.
He found it when they knocked over an old cedar tree.
My boss asked if I could find out some info and value of it, so here I am trying to help a brother out [emoji1360]

Yeah looked like it still needed some work.
I was thinking it’s a spear point but maybe someone else knows.
There is a group called Texas Chert on facebook. Join and ask them. There are quite a few that have a good bit of knowledge, but then you also have the secondary experts who go along with what someone else says.

There really is no value to it... field grade stuff really has no value, cool but only sentimental value.
