Yes, both legs were shot off. I can't fathom how the coyotes did not get him either. We have had a lot of coyote activity lately. We have snared 5 coyotes in the last three weeks.

So just to clarify, your son hit him breaking both legs, he ran off and he ended up coming back to a feeder in yalls place to be shot again?

I’m surprised he even got away. I’ve seen deer shot through both legs and they struggled to get up and get away.
Also surprised y’all didn’t find a single bone fragment.
As for surviving like that for several weeks...I got nothing.
