Been a rough few days and the boy and I had a much needed hunting trip scheduled today. A buddy has access to some prime acreage in South Texas and he was nice enough to allow us to use up some of his MLD permits for does and a management buck. Long story short, my boy shot his first deer and I shot my first non spike buck. The boy was bursting with excitement all day with all the deer movement and it only took us till around 10a to get our buck and two does. We were asked to take as many pigs as possible but they were very elusive today. Great memories were made today and I couldn’t be more proud of how my son handled the pressure when behind the scope.
