      I tried something similar to this. I used Habeneros. I tried to do the boil method with the habeneros in the pickling ingredients and just tried to add the habeneros in later as well. I have not been impressed with the heat. I left some eggs in the mixture for 3 weeks and it didnt seem that hot.

      You are right. Man boiling this stuff is insane.

      Any ideas?

          The fresh peppers will not give very much heat, more for color. To get them smokin' hot use more dried red pepper, cayenne & habenero pepper. I like the Onions, Jalapenos, Serrano & habeneros in the mix to eat.

            Making a new batch tonite....Tallnhairy has been putting a hurt on them at the ranch.
            Killing pigs and eating pickled sausage and eggs. Good stuff.

                      Eggas in same jars with sausage works good too. It's like stew, you have all the major food groups in one place
