Gibsons is one of my favorite stores, I visit the one in Kerrville often. They always have some great deals on so many items. Helpful folks there also.
I agree with the others, not to Cerakote it. Its 51 years old. It would look funny in high heels and lipstick if ya catch my drift.
To me a rifle is just a tool. I am always surprised at the comments acting like changing it is sacrilege. It would have sentimental value if passed down through family, but buying it cheap off a rack? That thing would be fair game to whatever I felt like changing.
LOVE those ole' Winchesters! I'd leave it original as well. Seems to be hit and miss with me at Gibson's...some great pricing and not so great, but that's everywhere. Key is to get a sales rep with a personality that will talk a little and not have the "gun store" attitude, lol!! Great buy for you!!
