    new glass

Well, I was looking for a bigger lens than my 55-200 Nikon and was thinking I would maybe try a Tamron or Sigma lens and save a little money. I know me and buyer's remorse would set in. So.....I went and got the lens I wanted in the first place. A Nikon 70-300mm VR AF-S lens. I took it to the ball park today for some testing. I think I am gonna like it.

It gets a little fuzzy at 300mm when you try to push more light... but other than that... I keep it on my camera a lot when I walk around.
Totally great lens for the money you spent.

Bill, I think I like this lens. Its definately heavier than my 55-200 but I like the range better.

I have the same lens and I love it for the cash i spent on it. I was lucky and got mine for 400 at circuit city when they were closing. You are right about the light at 300 though.
