    Lamps tag #'s

Is there a rule of thumb as to the number of tags per acre that usually gets issued?

In Lavaca County, it varies between each seperate coop area. In out coop section, they average 1 per 70-100 acres. We have 46 acres and usually get 2 or 3. Reason being, we are one of the few in the coop in our area and our deer counts always show an over abundance of doe.

LAMPS permits are not available for Lavaca County, only MLDP permits are available IF your land meets criteria (inspection/evaluation) by the wildlife biologists.

I think LAMPS doe tag quantities are determined by the state biologist based on acreage, population, available food, etc.
