Default Well, this sucks

Mashed a finger so bad that it split open. Out of 10 digits, which one got mashed? That's right the main one for drawing the bow. For any one that works with their hands, this is going to happen but it really sucks when it's an important one.

Try your middle and ring finger under nock. The joints will be tender but you can get a decent release that way

Zipping your fly.

Signing checks.

Taking a shower.

All things that **** you off when this stuff happens.

When they sewed my thumb back together some years ago I HAD to ask the cute girl who helped, to get my keys out of my pocket so I could leave. we dated for a couple months...

I've been practicing the last couple hours to make sure I can make this thing work out. I used the tab that I sewed the hinge into the first time I cut a finger nearly off. Really takes the strain off a lot but not all. I've got blood splattered all over the side of my face and shoulder but it's doable. This weekend is going to be good and I don't intend on missing it.

Seems like there is really no way around it. But it's still a tough thing to deal with especially to practice. Sounds like he's tough enough to overcome.

Weldor and metal fabricator here as well and you are right about catching hell. I fear this or a shoulder injury every year.

My grandad was a mechanic on a road crew. He was welding on a big ol loader bucket when the block it was on collapsed and it mashes most of his trigger finger off. He killed the biggest deer he ever killed later that week....but it was not with a longbow.

He used to tell my sister and me that he was picking his nose and a booger bit his finger off.
