Default My murphy door build along.

I have the carcasses built already and the parts for the face frames cut out and I will get them put together this evening.
I ordered the hardware kit from Murphy Door to build the surface mount bi-fold door and it arrived yesterday.
Although the typical murphy door is a book case I'm customizing mine to have a single drawer on each side and then a bow cabinet to hold my long bows and recurves as well as the arrows and all of the other stuff that goes along with it.
I worked with the Murphy door people to change up the design and the dimensions, ( Extremely helpful people and friendly by the way ). Here are a couple in progress pics of just putting together the carcass and will get some more tonight.

Got the other face frame glued up and drying, cut the slots for the biscuits and dry fit the first frame to the carcass. It's all fitting pretty good.

Well I been busy with work but was finally able to get the door together , got it installed and it works really well.
Have the drawers out waiting on some epoxy to dry and the doors are at a shop having the glass installed.
Once I get the doors back I still have to sand blast some designs but his project is coming to a close quickly

finally got my glass back and after going back and forth on designs i settled on these two. Sand blasted all four panels last night.
Each door will get 2 panels, the top one will be the scene with the people in it and the bottom will be the archery compass rose.

Pictures are hard to see but i will get them in the doors tonight and let them set up 24 hours before i install them on the cabinet.

Basically gonna be an above ground safe room/ storm shelter.
It's a pain to go to the underground shelter for every storm so if it's gonna be just an F1 or F2 then we can go in to this one.
Anything above that we go underground
