Looks like Chevy is trying to get back to the days when they made trucks that didn't suck.

Yes, it could be done a lot cheaper than that, if you did it yourself.
It is a trend started in cars with Dodge Charger, then Ford Mustang, followed by the Camaro. Went over really well in cars, so I don't see why it wouldn't for trucks.

Back in my car dealership days(90s), putting graphics on vans was the rage. Was really pretty cheap to do and 3X mark-up put most about $800-1000 for the add. We had a graphics guy that came by once a week, and would do 2 or 3 a day.

The difference though, is that with the cars, they're mimicking the whole style, not just the paint scheme.

FTR, I DO like the new Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros.

How about a Camaro with a little tweaking and turned into a late model Trans Am? I think a single cab chevy, 4'' lift, old wheels, roll bar with KC's, and a 70's brown two tone would be freakn sweet!

I was never a fan of that body style, whatever is was ... 70s TA ... and I'm not a fan of that car either, but I do appreciate the work that it took to get it there. Most noteably, the T-tops. I don't think you can get the new cars with T-tops, can you?

Not sure about the camaros. I was sitting in my buddies 17' Stingray this morning and I think it did. Pretty sure this pic went viral. I can almost bet we will see all kinds of color schemes and body styles soon. People need reasons to blow money! lol

My first new truck was an '85 1/2 ton Silverado, two tone brown over champagne. That 305 sucked ***. I sold it after 2 years and bought a '86 3/4 ton black Silverado with a 350 that had 16K miles on it. Loved that truck.

Nope. My first truck was an 81 chevy so I am very familiar with the era. Wasn't a fan of the 2 tone paint back then and still am not a fan. Don't really like the blacked out trucks either. Good guess though. Now throw some old Cragar mags on there and we would be moving in the right direction.

That yellow trim package was on the 77 models. My first car was a 77 Silverado pick up. I had the two tone yellow and beige or whatever the light color was called. I was told years later that the 77 model was the only year with the yellow in the chrome trim. Wish I still had that pick up.
