Default Jelly guru help

Planning to make some jalapeņo jelly and I have a whole bunch of brown sugar on hand, so I thought it might be a way to make good use of it.
Do I need to adjust my recipe if I switch to brown over refined white sugar?

The main difference is a little molasses added to white sugar. There will be a difference in color of your jelly and slight difference in taste. Might try 1/2 recipe. Of course I will try anything once.

I couldn’t find a recipe that was close to what I needed so I made my own. I fully expected to need to make several test batches but I got very lucky and it came out great. I’ll post the recipe and pics after I make a second batch to confirm.
